Demo Weekend
So just like on HGTV's Fixer Upper, (love me some Chip and Joanna), demo day was something this crew was very excited about. Ripping things out, removing cabinets, the whole shebang. Then there is the part that is breezed over on HGTV, the mess, the sweat and the time. Ooooh the time: ) We found out very quickly this was no 30 minute episode kinda job.
The team this particular weekend consisted of a crew of 4. Me (Joanne), Micheal (my boyfriend) and my parents (Joe and Mary). Taking a group picture on demo weekend was not a top priority so I give you this picture instead. #teamlenny
We didn't have designated jobs going into the weekend but we all found our little niche. Micheal and Joe disassembled and removed larger pieces, I ended up removing the blinds, shades and lovely blue padding. Mary cleaned the walls and ceilings, the very sticky walls and ceiling. Something we noticed when we first got Lenny was this stickiness. Not sure if this was caused by heat and time but this took some elbow grease. It took multiple attempts, and although it wasn't perfect, in the end it was significantly better than when we started. Since it was such a small space, we didn't want to inhale anything too strong so we used a Heavy-Duty Citrus Degreaser. It did the job all while making Lenny smell great.
